Join us for our Spectacular Fireworks Night 2025. Bring your family and friends, find your perfect viewing spot, and watch the sky come alive in a burst of colour!

Taking place on Wednesday 5th November at the grassed beachfront area next to The Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa.

The display will begin at 7pm.

Travelling to the event

We ask kindly that anyone within walking distance of event to wrap up warm and head to the display by foot, this will ease on congestion and keep carbon emissions as low as possible. Parking is available at the local car parks and we ask that people attending by car share rides wherever possible. Finally we ask that after the fireworks have ended that you head home safely whilst ensuring that you respect our wonderful neighbours.

FAQ’s

Will there be food and drinks available on the night?
The Augusta Suite within The Carnoustie Golf Hotel and Spa will be open – serving hot food, snacks and drinks. There will also be the option to purchase takeaway items from the kiosk within Links House. The Rookery will not be open during this event.

How do I get to the event?
All roads around the area will remain open, however the ‘Black Slab’ car park, adjacent to the fireworks site will be closed from 3pm on Wednesday 5th November. Please note that there are height restrictions on some of the access roads to the Links due to the railway line running overhead.

  • Links Avenue: maximum vehicle height: 1.9m (6′ 6″)
  • Ferrier Street: maximum vehicle height: 2.2m (7′ 3″)
  • Station Road: no height restriction

Will there be parking available?
There is no official parking for this event, however there are limited car parking facilities at the Carnoustie Sports Centre, The Carnoustie Burnside Course car park, Beach car park opposite the Carnoustie train station. There is also on street parking throughout the town. We would recommend that anybody who can walk to the event chooses this option.

Do I need a ticket? How much does it cost to attend?
This is a free to attend event. You don’t need a ticket. Please just come down on the night and enjoy!

Can I bring my dog?
You are welcome to bring dogs to this event, however, we are expecting large crowds and loud noises therefore we ask you to use your judgment on whether you believe that bringing your dog is the right option.

Can I bring sparklers?
We ask that you do not light sparklers within the Spectator Area – this is to protect the health and safety of all spectators at the event. You can however use sparklers outwith the Spectator Area.

What time does the fireworks display start and finish?
The display will begin at 7pm and last approximately 20minutes. We recommend arriving early to find a good viewing spot.

Is there a main Spectator Area?
Yes, the Spectator Area is located on the large grass section located behind the Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa. Please follow event signage and stewards’ instructions on arrival.

Will there be toilet facilities?
Yes. Public toilets will be available within Links House and The Carnoustie Golf Hotel.

Is the event suitable for children?
Yes. This is a family friendly event, but please be aware that fireworks are loud, and younger children may wish to bring ear protection.

Is the event accessible for wheelchairs and prams?
Yes, there are accessible viewing areas and toilets are available. There are limited parking spaces for Blue Badge holders within the Carnoustie Golf Hotel car park. We recommend that wheelchairs and prams utilise the paved areas around the periphery of the spectator viewing areas as the grassed areas may be uneven.

Can I bring my own food and drink?
You are welcome to bring your own refreshments, glass bottles and alcohol are not permitted.

Is alcohol available at the event?
Alcohol will only be served within the Augusta Suite at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa and The Rookery Restaurant & Bar. Alcohol cannot be consumed outside of these licensed premises.

Will the event go ahead if it rains?
Yes. The event will go ahead in most weather conditions unless there are safety concerns due to high winds. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Can I take photos or videos?
Absolutely! Feel free to share your photos and videos on social media.

Who is organising the event?
The event is hosted by Carnoustie Golf Links and Carnoustie Golf Hotel & Spa. The fireworks are being provided by Fireworx Scotland Ltd, and the Event Manager and Safety Officer is North East Promotions.

Will first aid be available?
Yes, trained first aiders will be on site throughout the event. If you or someone nearby requires assistance, please approach a steward immediately.

Is there anything I can’t bring?
For everyone’s safety, please do not bring fireworks, sky lanterns, or sparklers into the Spectator Area. Drones are strictly prohibited.

What should I do if my child gets lost?
If a child becomes separated from their parent or guardian, please immediately alert the nearest event steward or member of staff. A Lost Children area will be signposted and located next to the First Aid area. Stewards and the event management team are trained to handle this sensitively and will ensure children are safely reunited with their families as quickly as possible.
