The Carnoustie Junior Open: 18-Hole Scratch Event

The Carnoustie Golf Links Junior Open is a day of celebration for junior golf. No matter your age or ability, you will be able to participate in one of our events. The competition takes place on 10th August and will be played on The Carnoustie Championship Course, The Carnoustie Burnside Course and The Carnoustie Nestie Course. It is open to any golfer who is under 18 years old on 1st January 2021. The Carnoustie Championship Course will host the Scratch Event:
Handicap ballot will decide the 39 entrants.The Carnoustie Burnside Course will host the Handicap Event:
First come, first served process will decide the 39 entrants.

The Carnoustie Junior Open

The Carnoustie Golf Links Junior Open is a day of celebration for junior golf. No matter your age or ability, you will be able to participate in one of our events. In 2021, the competition takes place on Monday 9th August and will be played across all of Carnoustie Golf Links’ famous courses – The Carnoustie Championship Course, The Carnoustie Burnside Course, The Carnoustie Buddon Course and The Carnoustie Nestie Course. It is open to any golfer who is under 18 years old on 1st January 2021.

The Carnoustie Championship Course will host the 18-hole Scratch Event and a handicap ballot will decide the 39 entrants. Handicap Index limit of 12.4 is required for entry.

Entry for The 2021 Carnoustie Junior Open will open on 1st February 2021 at 9am. All events are FREE OF CHARGE to enter. Entries* can be made by clicking the link in the Tournament Information box. An official handicap and CDH number is required for entry. Tee times will run from 9am-10.37am. *If an entrant is unsuccessful in the handicap ballot for the Scratch Event on The Championship Course, their entry will not automatically carry over to The Burnside Course event. If the entrant wishes to use the 18-Hole Handicap event on The Burnside Course as an alternative event, they must also enter this event prior to the closing date using the online entry form. If the golfer is successful in their entry for both events, they will be selected for the 18-hole Scratch event and removed from the 18-hole Handicap event.
