The Craw’s Nest Tassie

The Craw’s Nest Tassie is a week long open event, celebrating the true spirit of the amateur game. With only 300 places available, entries* are allocated on a first come, first served basis.  The first round will be a 36-hole qualifying competition, held over two days ( Monday & Tuesday), across both The Carnoustie Championship and The Carnoustie Buddon Courses.

The Craw’s Nest Tassie is a week long open event, celebrating the true spirit of the amateur game. With only 300 places available, entries* are allocated on a first come, first served basis.  The first round will be a 36-hole qualifying competition, held over two days ( Monday & Tuesday), across both The Carnoustie Championship and The Carnoustie Buddon Courses.

The players with the top 64 scratch scores, will then compete in a match play knockout event for The Craws Nest Tassie ( Wednesday-Saturday). The following best 64 nett scores going on to compete in a match play knockout event to compete for The Maulesbank Trophy (Wednesday-Saturday).  Those players who do not qualify for the match pay events will be invited to participate in our consolation competitions.

* To enter you must be a male golfer with a handicap of 18 or below.

Entries are now closed for The Craw’s Nest Tassie 2020 and all successful applicants have been contacted. Should there be an opening, a reserve will be contacted from the Reserve List.
The Tassie as the abbreviated version is popularly known has grown into an institution where amateur golfers return to Carnoustie year after year after year. First played for in 1927 it is limited to a number determined by the Tournament Organiser whose handicaps must be 18 or below.
